A Heroin Package Prop from the 2013 Ruben Fleischer period film, Gangster Squad. In the film, a secret team of police officers led by Sgt. John O'Mara (Josh Brolin) and Sgt. Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling) assemble to take down the ruthless mob boss Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) in 1949 Los Angeles.
This item comes from the scene at Burbank Airport, in which Mickey Cohen's henchmen smuggle the drugs off of an airplane. The package is made from a bag of granulated sugar that has been wrapped in white paper and tied with twine. The packaging paper has the word "CAFÉ" typed in large faded black lettering. The bag has been production distressed and punctured to appear as though it has traveled a long distance and does leak some sugar (see photos). It measures approximately 12" x 6" x 4.5" (30cm x 15cm x 11cm) and is in good condition.
