Panzerfaust Crate

Stock #47420

A prop Panzerfaust transit crate used in the production of the American WW2 tanker movie Fury. Sent on a deadly mission behind enemy lines at the war’s end, Sergeant Dan “Wardaddy” Collier (Brad Pitt) fights to keep his crew together as they are outgunned and outnumbered in Nazi Germany.

This style of crate and others like it were used by members of the SS infantry as they pressed home their attack against the stranded Fury tank during the film’s explosive finale. Made of wood, the crate has the text “Panzerfaust” stencilled on the lid with packing labels on the side and on the inside of the lid. Two metal clasps on the front of the lid secure it in place, with an interior rack allowing for the carriage of four Panzerfaust launchers. Ropes at either end of the crate allow for it to be carried with ease.

Distressed for use and showing some signs of production use, including damage to the labels, the piece remains in overall very good condition.
