A US soldier helmet from Stanley Kubrick's Vietnam War film Full Metal Jacket. US soldiers wore their helmets during the second part of Kubrick's masterpiece, during the Battle of Hue and the cat-and-mouse hunt of the Viet Cong sniper.

This is a genuine period army helmet made of metal with a kevlar inner lining and a cotton camouflage-patterned outer cover. The helmet's interior webbing consists of tough nylon straps and a leather headband on which "33" is handwritten in black marker pen. A chin strap is threaded through two metal clips at the side of the helmet.

The helmet is embellished with slogans, including "Vietnam Crusing [sic]" and "U.S.M.C." handwritten in black ink, and "Fuck Nam" in white ink. It is also intentionally distressed to appear battle-worn with dirt stains and holes in its cotton cover. Dimensions: 28.5 cm x 24.5 cm x 19 cm (11.25" x 9.75" x 7.5")
