A script, storyboards and production ephemera from The Hughes Brothers’ 2001 horror film From Hell.
The script – credited to Rafael Yglesias and based on the graphic novel by Alan More & Edward Campbell - is in a purple ring binder. It is printed on different coloured pages, indicating various revisions. Certain parts have been highlighted and annotated, and tabs have been added to most of the pages. ‘George Gibbs’ has been handwritten on the title page. Gibbs was part of the special effects team on the film.
In the same purple folder are a shooting schedule, SFX breakdowns, a script breakdown, a time line continuity guide, a list of the order of murders in the film, a stunt list, and a production memo. The storyboards are held together in a white binder. They are not a complete set of storyboards for the film.
The folders have some wear from production use and age, including scuffing and scratches, while the paperwork has some creasing. Overall the items remain in an excellent condition.
Materials: Card, Paper, Ferrous Metals, Plastic.
