James Stewart and George Kennedy are adversaries in this comedy-drama, which sees Appleyard (Stewart) trying to go straight after a 40-year prison sentence. He sets out to open a general store in the town of Glory using the $25k he earned during his incarceration, but Captain "Doc" Council (Kennedy) wants to ensure the cheque is never cashed. The final artwork here shows Stewart with dynamite strapped to his chest as he threatens to blow up the bank if they refuse to hand over his hard-earned money. This design was used in the Italian campaign and is accompanied by an original locandina poster.
