A special effects Hawkman rifle from Mike Hodges' sci-fi adventure Flash Gordon. Hawkmen used their rifles while attacking the War Rocket Ajax.
The weapon is predominantly made of cast fibreglass, and painted black and gold. It features a guard over the forearm, fashioned in the shape of bird feathers, and the barrel also bears a feather motif. In place of a trigger, there is a metal switch which would have illuminated the end of the barrel, to mimic laser fire. There is a power input on the right side of the weapon, but the bulb in the end of the barrel is no longer present. The gun has some wear from production use and age, including scuffing, scratches and areas where the paint has chipped away. The gold paint has faded or worn away in places. Dimensions: 53.5 cm x 16 cm x 21 cm (21" x 6 1/4" x 8 1/4")
Contains electronics; see electronics notice in the Buyer's Guide.
Estimate: £2,000 - 3,000 M
