Original Wardrobe Concept Sketch by Edith Head

Stock #89942

An original wardrobe concept sketch hand-drawn by famed costume designer Edith Head. The film follows a musician, who leaves a life of success when his daughter contracts polio.

The concept was sketched for the design of a dress a teenage Dorothy (Tuesday Weld) wears in the film during her birthday party. The sketch is hand-drawn and painted and features hand-written notes. The sketch includes a backing board with an array of handwritten notes, sketches, and a list of costume information that were made note of, such as accessories, garment details and more. The mounting board is dated October 15, 1958.

The sketch is and board show some signs of wear from display and age, but it remains in good overall condition.
