Purple Rank Russian Army Cap

Stock #21088

“Don't say anything. Your words would be useless, maybe even insulting. Just fly the damn plane.”

A Russian cap used in Clint Eastwood’s 1982 Cold War movie Firefox. A pilot is sent into the Soviet Union on a mission to steal a prototype jet fighter that can be partially controlled by a neuralink.

Various high ranking officers of the Russian Army wear this style of cap throughout the movie, including Mitchell Gant (Clint Eastwood) on his covert mission to infiltrate and hijack the Russian’s latest weapon – a jet fight named “Firefox”. The authentic cap is khaki green with a purple band around the crown and matching piping around the brim, a rigid black peak and metal gold star buttons for securing the black strap seen on screen. The original badges have since been removed for use on subsequent productions but where they were fastened on is still visible, the cap remains in an otherwise very good condition.

Materials: Man-Made Woven Fibres, Ferrous Metals, Plastic.
