Lee Christmas’ (Jason Statham) production-used stunt pistol from Patrick Hughes’ 2014 action thriller The Expendables 3.
This stunt pistol and others like it were made for the production and carried by Lee Christmas when The Expendables are on missions. In the opening mission of the film, Christmas has it strapped to his chest, while in the second mission he uses his gun to help take down a truckload of enemies. In the climactic fight he has it strapped to his leg. It is a SIG-Sauer P226R with a custom-built grip.
The gun is made of black hardened rubber and detailed to look as lifelike as possible, however the barrel is still filled in with rubber. Externally it is covered in details to make it look like an authentic Sig Sauer pistol, including the Sig Sauer brand name, serial numbers and the words ‘MADE IN GERMANY.’ There is an added detail of some exposed ‘metal’, which is rubber painted silver and tarnished to show signs of wear. There is also a line running all the way around the middle of the gun which has been left from when it was cast. The grip has been extended for use by Statham because of his large hands.
The piece has some wear from production use, including some scuffs and scratches, but remains in an otherwise excellent condition.
