”One cannot accomplish anything without fanaticism.”

A Time Magazine from the production of Alan Parker’s 1996 historical drama Evita.

Eva Duarte Peron (Madonna) rises from poverty to become an Argentinian actress and the wife of powerful President Juan Peron (Jonathan Pryce). Through a series of flashbacks, Eva transforms from an impoverished teenager into a woman of influence and power. After the death of her father, Eva travels to Buenos Aires and begins a string of relationships with powerful men before she meets Juan. Eva's ultimate power and influence earn her both admiration and hatred.

The story of Evita is told through songs and montages of the press coverage of Argentina’s unstoppable First Lady. This front cover of Time Magazine would have been created by the art department for this part of the storytelling but is not obviously seen on screen.

This item depicts Eva and President Juan Peron on the front cover of Time Magazine, dated May 21st 1951. Inside reveals that this art department-designed cover is transplanted onto a modern copy of Time Magazine, dated 22nd January 1996. There is a small rip along the spine but otherwise this piece is in good production-used condition.
