Event Horizon

USAC Medical Crate

Stock #23890

A USAC medical crate used in Paul W.S. Anderson’s supernatural sci-fi horror Event Horizon. Travelling to the edge of our solar system, Dr William Weir (Sam Neill) and a crack search and rescue team are sent to retrieve the deep space exploration vessel Event Horizon, which has returned after being lost for seven years. Little do they know it has been on a journey to the pits of Hell itself.

This crates and others like are part of the set in the suit room aboard the Lewis and Clark as Miller, Justin and Peters suit up and venture out into the derelict ship Event Horizon. This futuristic looking box is crafted from fibreglass and has been painted in a dull metallic grey and black. The exterior of the crate has a heavily textured segmented appearance with foil lining and medical style stickers along with USAC on one side. This futuristic box appears to have been wired up with servos to open on its own, however such an effect doesn't seem to have made it to the final cut. The top is open, where a pair of sides that seal would have been applied with a servo powered pin. The electronics on this piece remain untested.

The piece had been intentionally distressed to give it a well-used look for the production. Some of the foil has begun to come unstuck at the top of the crate. However, in spite of this wear the piece remains in good production-used condition.
