Peters’ grey t-shirt (Kathleen Quinlan) and Ensign Justin’s (Jack Noseworthy) hospital wristband from Paul W.S Anderson’s 1997 sci-fi horror Event Horizon.
Drawn to a distress call near Neptune from the derelict ship Event Horizon, the crew of the rescue ship USAC Lewis & Clark - led by Captain Miller (Laurence Fishburne) and Dr. William Weir (Sam Neill) - are subjected to a series of horrific visions and events when they discover the otherworldly cargo the ship has picked up from its disappearance into a black hole.
Medic Peters wore her grey shirt underneath her jumpsuit throughout the film – it was bloodied during the scene in which Ensign Justin was pulled into space, returning to the spaceship coughing up blood. She continued wearing the bloodied shirt as she was lured to her death with hallucinations of her son at the spaceship’s core.
Traumatised Justin wore his hospital wristband when he was pulled out of the airlock into space, sustaining mortal decompression injuries before being saved by Captain Miller (Laurence Fishburne).
This cut-out section of Peters’ grey t-shirt features her medical and emergency details printed across it, including blood type. The piece is stained with blood from the neckline down, indicating that the section was taken from one of the bloody shirts made for the production.
Justin’s silver-coloured plastic wristband features his name, company and essential medical information on a white trip. It shows signs of having been pulled off the wearer’s wrist, with significant creasing and some residue on the reverse.
Each piece remains in fair production-used condition.
