Event Horizon

'Millers Fire' Storyboards and Call Sheet

Stock #112993

“You know nothing. Hell is only a word. The reality is much, much worse”

A collection of storyboards and a call sheet from the production of Paul W.S. Anderson’s supernatural sci-fi horror, Event Horizon.

Travelling to the edge of our solar system, Dr William Weir (Sam Neill) and a crack search and rescue team are sent to retrieve the deep space exploration vessel ‘Event Horizon’, which has returned after being lost for seven years. Little do they know it has been on a journey to the pits of Hell itself.

These storyboards cover two different scenes. In one scene, Miller (Laurence Fishburne) is trying to outrun a fireball; in the other, Miller is blown backwards by an explosion while wearing his spacesuit. The sets, labelled ‘Millers Fire’ and ‘Gravity Wave’, are dated ’20 Sep 1996’ and ’01 Nov 1996’ respectively.

The call sheet is dated ‘Saturday 1 March February [sic] 1997’ and is attached to two memoranda, one about safety and preparedness around a specific special effect, and the other about a mix-up with the crew jackets that were ordered.

All the items come in a plastic folder for safekeeping and have very little wear from production use and age. Overall they remain in an excellent condition.
