A bat creature’s severed head from Ben Mottershead’s 2018 fantasy comedy short film starring Brian Blessed, Eric and the Barbarian.
Meek Eric (Pauk Holliday) is constantly tormented by office bullies and turns to his imaginary Barbarian companion in a quest to find his inner warrior and overcome them. To encourage Eric to ‘fight back against the darkness’ his Barbarian decapitates a bat-like creature whilst Eric is confronting his boss and office bullies. Made by professional prosthetics artist Shaune Harrison - whose credits include Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace, World War Z, and Game of Thrones - this silicone head features a bat-like snout and long pointy ears. It has been finished in grey and purple tones to reflect its sallow veiny skin. The head has been severed at the neck, and the wound painted a bloody red and dark purple.
The severed head displays some black residue around the mouth from the black liquid that is seen dripping from the creature's mouth. It also exhibits very minor paint wear and marks from production use and overall remains in excellent condition.
