Virginia Baker's (Catherine Zeta-Jones) Stunt Gold Briefcase

Stock #45107

A prop briefcase used in the production of the 1999 action drama Entrapment. When insurance investigator ‘Gin’ Baker (Catherine Zeta-Jones) tries to entrap ‘Mac’ MacDougal (Sean Connery) with the prospect of a massive heist, a complicated sequence of double-crosses leaves them both in the crosshairs of the FBI.

This stunt briefcase and others like it were used for the scene in which Gin is thrown out by Congrad (Maury Chaykin) because she failed to give him the mask she promised him. After being thrown out, she attacks Mac for double-crossing her, hitting him over the head repeatedly with the case. This rubber version was used for the assault to ensure no harm came to Connery or Zeta-Jones during the scene. Made from rubber, the case has a gold painted finish with aluminium and black paint used for the handle and additional detailing.

Displaying some wear from use and time spent in storage, the paint finish has cracked over time. However, in spite of this wear, the stunt case remains in overall good condition.
