"You know what they say about fear. The only remedy is to cut off the head"
A prop transmitter from the production of Jon Amiel's action romance Entrapment.
Investigator Virginia 'Gin' Baker (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and professional thief Robert 'Mac' MacDougal become involved in an unlikely relationship as they undertake an ambitious heist " with Gin secretly hired to expose and arrest Mac.
A transmitter is installed at the very start of the film by a masked thief who successfully steals a priceless Rembrandt painting from an office building in New York. The masked thief turns out to be Gin and the transmitter is used to override the atomic clock.
Constructed from black plastic, the main body of the device features a keypad which features the numbers 0-9, a hash and star key symbol. The top of the transmitter displays a small 'dish' with a metal extending antennae. Black foam is adhered to the back of the device where it would have been attached on set. A row of green LED lights and a small red LED light adorns the piece and the device features a screen which would have displayed text. A small slide switch is located underneath which would have turn the electronics components on. The electronics on this piece remain untested.
The screen displays light scratches and the dish has minor marks and wear from production use. Marks and wear are also present on the keypad buttons. However, in spite of this, the transmitter remains in overall very good condition.
