A military rucksack and tag from Doug Liman’s 2014 action sci-fi film Edge of Tomorrow.
Europe has been invaded by aliens. Cage (Tom Cruise) is a soldier with no combat experience who gets killed shortly after going into battle. Then he wakes up and begins the day again, restarting it every time he dies, allowing him to learn how to defeat the alien enemy.
This rucksack and others like it were made for the production and were used as set decoration and props for the soldiers around the UDF base at Heathrow. Bags can be seen in piles in the background when Cage wakes up at Heathrow. The bag is decorated with grey-and-green ‘digital’ camouflage and has a plastic soldier’s tag attached to it. The rucksack has ‘Perez’ handwritten in black pen on it near the zip and the rucksack is filled with old clothing to pad it out.
The rucksack has some wear from production use, including some dark staining on the front and some minor soiling. Overall it remains in an excellent condition.
Materials: Man-Made Woven Fibres, Plastic, Ferrous Metals.
