A set of four drag costume bodices from NBC’s horror drama series Dracula.
Now in London, Dracula plots his revenge against the people who ruined his life centuries ago and assumes the role of Alexander Grayson. However, he falls for young Mina Harker (Jessica De Gouw) who seems to be a reincarnation of his dead wife, complicating his plans.
Bodices were worn by cross-dresser waiters at the Swinburne Club during the second episode of the series. Alexander Grayson (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) happens upon Lord Laurent (Anthony Howell) in an amorous encounter with Daniel Davenport (Lewis Rainer), which he used to blackmail Laurent into selling his shares in the British Imperial Lubrication and Coolant Company.
The set is comprised of a gold, blue, red and green bodices made from metallic fabric with a black netting top layer. Black piping runs down the seams and a fringed trim decorates the top edge. A piece of draping black fabric acting as a ‘skirt’ is attached to the bottom and has been embellished with a matching bead trimming.
With no sizes marked, the set shows minimal wear from use on production and minor marks on the inside. The set remains in very good condition.
Materials: Man-Made Woven Fibres.
