Doomsday

Black Tar Cigarette Packet

Stock #13184

”If you’re hungry, why don’t you try a piece of your friend?”

An empty cigarette packet from Neil Marshall’s 2008 dystopian thriller Doomsday.

When the first outbreak of the Reaper virus hit Scotland, baby Eden Sinclair (Rhona Mitra) was one of the last to escape containment and had to leave her mother behind. Twenty-five years later, Major Eden Sinclair leads a team back into the hot zone to find a counteragent to the virus, which has re-emerged in London. She and her comrades wage a desperate battle for survival against feral survivors, as they try to prevent it from ushering in a new dark age.

This cigarette box, and others like it with different designs, were made especially for Bill Nelson (Bob Hoskins) who is seen smoking throughout and forced to share them with Eden, at her insistence.

This box features government-approved slogans printed on both sides. The box is empty and open at one end, with flakes of tobacco affixed to the sticky tape that was holding it closed. This item shows some minor signs of production use and handling but overall remains in good condition.
