A playing card from the production of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight.
This card and others like it were made for use in the production, and ultimately given away as part of the film's viral promotion campaign in 2008. The Joker used playing cards in several sequences throughout the film, including scenes such as the murder of Judge Surillo (Nydia Rodriguez Terracina) with a car bomb, where hundreds of the Joker’s “calling cards” were left behind.
Made of stiff card with a textured semi-gloss finish, the card features a mirrored image if a jester looking to the side. Printed in muted colours, the card also displays the word ‘Joker’ in the top left and bottom right corners. The back of the card is cream with an elaborate floral pattern printed in purple and creme.
The card remains in excellent condition.
