Nate Haskell's (Bill Irwin) hero, breakaway and SFX glasses from hit US crime drama CSI.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation follows a team of forensic investigators in Las Vegas, who solve crimes around the city using science and cunning.
Nate Haskell, also known as the 'The Dick & Jane Killer', is a prolific killer and nemesis to Raymond Langston (Laurence Fishburne). The serial killer is brought in to track down a fellow murderer and uses an arm of his broken glasses to stab a member of the team at end of the dramatic episode 'Meat Jekyll', when they finally catch the 'Doctor Jekyll' killer.
The set consists of his hero black rimmed glasses and a second identical 'breakaway' set that have a specially crafted and glued join on the left arm to enable the snapping movement to be performed repeatedly without requiring too much force (and possible resulting accidents) from the actor, and finally two arms that slot on to a metal plate and pin made to give the illusion of still being embedded in the victim.
The set has some wear from production use and age, but remains in an otherwise excellent condition.
Materials: Plastic, Glass, Ferrous Metals.
