"Now they will know why they are afraid of the dark. Now they learn why they fear the night."
A Ron Cobb Hand-Drawn Cult of Set Emblem Design from the production of John Milius' 1982 adventure fantasy Conan the Barbarian.
A young boy, Conan (Arnold Schwarzenegger), becomes a slave after his parents are killed and tribe destroyed by a savage warlord and sorcerer, Thulsa Doom (James Earl Jones). When he grows up he becomes a fearless, invincible fighter. Set free, he plots revenge against Thulsa Doom.
Drawings were used for concepts and design references before and throughout the production. There is one pieces of paper with a Ron Cobb hand-drawn artwork. It depicts a design for the cult of Set emblem. The artworks show minimal wear from production use, there is one large fold line across the middle and a small nick in the top left corner. The production artwork remains in an otherwise very good condition.
