An original Antarean Alien Head Mask from Ron Howard's 1985 sci-fi film, Cocoon. In the film, a group of senior citizens find new life in their youthful powers given to them by aliens. This mask was created for one of the aliens in the film, and is crafted from foam latex. The ear-less mask features a rough and bumpy white skin with concave blue eyes, a stunted nose, and a very small mouth. The mask has been attached to a Styrofoam head with push pins and glue, and displayed on a simple wooden base. Please note that some areas of the foam latex, particularly around the neck and face, have hardened through the years and are quite fragile, however the piece has been faithfully restored and detailed with newly inset blue eyes. Including the base, this head measures approximately 7" x 8.5" x 14.5" (18cm x 22cm x 37cm) and is in good production made condition.
