A clapperboard from the production of Louis Leterrier’s 2010 fantasy film Clash of the Titans.

Zeus (Liam Neeson), king of the gods, is tricked into sending his downtrodden brother Hades (Ralph Fiennes) to Earth to make the mortals fearful of the gods’ power – never reckoning on the intervention of demi-god Perseus (Sam Worthington) as he fights to save Andromeda (Alexa Davalos), princess of Argos.

This clapperboard and others like it were made for the production. Clapperboards are used on set to keep a track of the scene and take number, as well as helping the editors marry up the sound and visuals during post-production. The board is made of white acrylic with a wooden white-and-black clapper on a metal hinge. The board features the film title, as well as the names of director Louis Leterrier and cinematographer Peter Menzies Jr.

The piece has some wear from production use, including some scratching and scuffing, most notably on the back of the clapper. It remains in an otherwise excellent production-used condition.
