A Christine fuel door from John Carpenter's adaptation of Stephen King's supernatural horror Christine. The eponymous 1958 Plymouth Fury was purchased by Arnie Cunningham (Keith Gordon), with the desire to fix the vehicle up - but Christine had other, darker intentions.

This fuel door was created specifically for the special effects car, which was built for the scene where a heavily damaged Christine rebuilds herself. Special effects artist Roy Arbogast used hydraulics to crush the car inwards, and then the footage was reversed.

The panel is made of solid rubber and painted in the car's signature red. "Christine Gas Door" is handwritten in black ink on the reverse. There are also remnants of adhesive on the reverse, where it was attached to the car. Dimensions: 14.5 cm x 18 cm x 1.5 cm (5 3/4" x 7" x 1/2")
