Essanay, 1918

Charlie Chaplin was the most famous man on earth when this film was released. When Chaplin departed Essanay Studios for Mutual Studios, Essanay took the outtakes of his projects and released them as this film. Chaplin sued the studio. This is an excellent stone litho poster over 100 years old.

Before restoration, this poster had a small amount of chipping sporadically around the borders and in the lower center point fold, some pinholes in the corners, and a clean tear in the upper center fold. The borders have also been sporadically airbrushed.

A collection of excerpts from various other Charlie Chaplin shorts, including The Bank, In The Park, Shanghaied, and The Tramp, all originally released in 1915.
