"Everything in this room is eatable, even I'm eatable! But that is called "cannibalism", my dear children, and is in fact frowned upon in most societies."
A miniature Wonka Railway tanker carriage from Tim Burton's 2005 fantasy movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. A young boy wins a tour through the most magnificent chocolate factory in the world, led by the world's most unusual candy maker.
Tanker carriages were made specially for a long shot of the sprawling factory that included Wonka's own train depot so he could ship and receive via rail. Similar styled methods of transporting his candy are seen at the start of the film in the form of Wonka vans, but sadly the trains never made it to the final cut.
The tanker is a modified commercially available 'toy' model made of styrene and plastic that has been given the full 'Wonka' branding with the brown swirl amongst the red paint job with the memorable logo in the centre. The wheels roll and the chassis moves, and is complete with tiny ladders, handles, levers, even printed information of the vehicle and little (non-functioning) lights. The whole piece has been given a very thin layer of black spray paint to give it a well-travelled appearance and remains in a very good condition.
Materials: Plastic, Ferrous Metals.
