Original Production Storyboards - Roy Kills Tyrell/Owl

Stock #79177

“Quite an experience to live in fear, isn't it? That's what it is to be a slave.”

A set of two original production storyboard copies used for the production of the sci-fi thriller Blade Runner. Set in an alternate version of 2019, blade runner Rick Deckard is called out of retirement in order to hunt down a group of rogue replicants. Vehicles are seen driving the streets of dystopian Los Angeles throughout the film.

Printed on A4 paper in black and white, the first page depicts Roy (Rutger Hauer) killing his creator Dr. Tyrell (Joe Turkell) by crushing his skull and poking his thumbs through his eyes. This page is marked as being for scene ‘93’, page number ‘14’, and features three framed illustrations with notes written underneath. The second image depicts a close up shot of an owl’s eyes and is marked as being for scene ‘25’, page number ‘68’ and features one framed illustration with a brief description underneath. The page has been hole punched at the top, where it was grouped in a sequence, forming a comprehensive shot-by-shot version of the film's special effects. Both pages remain in very good production-used condition.
