A special crew jacket from the production of Tim Burton's 1989 comic book movie, Batman.
The new-to-crimefighting Batman (Michael Keaton) faces down The Joker (Jack Nicholson) in a battle to save his beloved city of Gotham.
This leather jacket and others like it were only given to heads of department on the film's production crew - they were specially made at the request of Jack Nicholson to look like the jackets the Goons wear in the movie.
Made from black leather and synthetic fibres, it features the Batman logo on the right sleeve, and a green and orange patch with the Joker's face on the left. Offered in a worn condition, some areas of the leather are fading around the stitching on the arms. Despite this it remains in excellent condition. The jacket is marked ‘XL’.
