An SS German Officer jacket worn in the production of the historical TV mini-series Band Of Brothers, produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks.
Based on the book by Stephen E. Ambrose, the series follows the wartime lives of the 101st Airborne Division’s “Easy” Company, from their training at Camp Currahee through to the end of the war.
This jacket would have been worn by a German Officer in an episode of the series, from the invasion of Normandy through to the German surrender in Berchtesgaden at the war's end. Made of grey wool, this jacket features four pockets on the front, dark green epaulettes and multiple silver buttons. The top button on the front features a red, white and blue ribbon, known as the Iron Cross Second class ribbon, sewn diagonally onto the front edge. The jacket comes with an Infantry Assault badge and the two insignias for the rank of an experienced NCO, Scharführer.
Display signs of wear, including stitching marks from where various patches and insignias have been stitched onto the jacket, the piece remains in very good production-used condition.
Materials: Ferrous Metals, Man-Made Woven Fibres.
