Joseph Lynch's (Brendan Gleeson) stunt four barrel pistol from Justin Kurzel’s 2016 video game adaptation Assassin’s Creed.
Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) is submitted to an experiment involving the Animus - a machine that has been developed to relive genetic memories - and discovers he is a descendant of the mysterious Assassins. Experiencing the adventures of his ancestor Aguilar de Nerha, he helps the Assassins take on the tyrannical Templars and search for the ‘Apple of Eden’.
This pistol was intended for the character Joseph Lynch (Brendon Gleeson) but was not seen in the final cut of the film. However, the weapon is seen within its case in a deleted scene, where Joseph gathers weaponry to fight against the Abstergo security guards.
The flintlock pistol is made from hardened rubber and features four barrels, a muzzle, trigger and trigger guard all finished in silver and gold coloured paint to resemble metal. Two rounded shapes feature on the main body, decorated with ornate cast-in patterns - the cap of the grip has a metal shape featuring eagle-shaped emblems. Displaying a textured panel each side, the grip is finished in brown and detailed to look like wood.
Distressed for use in production, the pistol has marks on the grip and some paint discolouration. Nonetheless, the piece remains in very good production-used condition.
