Benedicto’s (Carlos Bardem) wristblade housing from the Justin Kurzel adventure film Assassin’s Creed.
When Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) is submitted to an experiment involving the Animus, a machine that has been developed to relive genetic memories, he discovers he is a descendant of the mysterious society, the Assassins. Experiencing the adventures of his ancestor Aguilar de Nerha, he helps the Assassins take on the tyrannical Templars and search for the ‘Apple of Eden’.
Benedicto wore his wrist blade as he and his fellow Assassins attempted to rescue Prince Ahmed of Granada (Kemaal Deen-Ellis), who was kidnapped by the Templars.
The wristblade housing is made from a combination of dense rubber and plastic, and is mounted to a metal base. Cast-in floral inspired patterns and an intertwined trim decorate the front of the housing - an elaborate decorative piece has been fixed to the exterior. The piece has been finished in faux-silver paint to resemble metal.
Benedicto’s wristblade displays signs of production use including adhesive residue on the back and wear to the paint finish. A small section on the right side has become damaged and has begun to peel away, exposing the metal underneath. However, in spite of this wear the wrist blade housing remains in very good condition.
