Benedicto’s (Carlos Bardem) wrist blade made for the production of Justin Kurzel’s adventure film Assassin’s Creed.
When Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) is submitted to an experiment involving the Animus, a machine that has been developed to relive genetic memories, he soon discovers he is a descendant of the mysterious society, the Assassins. Experiencing the adventures of his ancestor Aguilar de Nerha, the Assassins take on the tyrannical Templars and search for the relic that is, the ‘Apple of Eden’.
Benedicto, the Mentor of the Sevilla Brotherhood, used this style of wrist blade alongside his fellow Assassins as he battled the Templars to rescue the kidnapped son of Sultan Muhammad XII (Khalid Abdalla). Hidden wrist blades were the signature weapon used by members within the Assassin Brotherhood. This blade would have been used for close up shots.
Made from metal, the top half of the wristblade housing displays cast-in floral inspired patterns with an adhered intertwined trim. Finished in dark grey shades, a decorative piece is attached to the front and features a moveable section, acting as a mechanism which caused the blade to spring out. However, the blade is fixed inside its housing.
The piece displays minor wear and light scratches to the side and back of the weapon due to use on production. Glue remnants from where a piece has been previously attached, is present on the back. The wristblade remains in very good condition.
Materials: Ferrous Metals.
