A clapperboard from the production of the iconic and groundbreaking transformation scene in John Landis' horror-comedy An American Werewolf in London. This wooden clapperboard screen-matches one seen in behind-the-scenes footage during the filming of the werewolf transformation through its lettering and wear.

The clapperboard features the film's title, director Landis' and cinematographer Robert Paynter's names, and sections for the slate and take numbers. The names are presented with raised stickers, and the "a" and "i" from Landis' name are missing. The bottom of the board features several strips of tape stuck on top of each other, with "10.4.81 Night/Int." handwritten in black ink on the most recent strip. The back of the clapperboard features pieces of tape which read "A Cam", "S" and "Dusk/Int". Dimensions: 1.5 cm x 27 cm x 20.5 cm (1/2" x 10 3/4" x 8")
