A replica Xenomorph head from James Cameron's 1986 Aliens - the classic sci-fi action sequel to Ridley Scott's Alien.
Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) is found, frozen in time and floating in space, 57 years after the events of the first film. She agrees to help a group of marines after a human colony on LV-426, the planet where they found the xenomorph in the first film, goes dark. Once they land on the planet, things go from bad to worse very quickly...
The insect-like xenomorph was conceptualised by Swiss artist H.R. Giger for Alien, but the design of the onscreen Xenomorph was changed between Alien and Aliens. One of the reasons is that in Alien, the creature spent much of its time in the shadows, whereas in Aliens the Xenos were more visible and required more detail.
This finely-detailed replica of the iconic domed head is made of wood and resin and is painted black, with lighter colours for detailing. The teeth are painted silver with a touch of gold-coloured paint. Additional brown resin recreates the slime that the Xenomorphs excrete. There is some intentional distressing to add authenticity but the piece remains in otherwise excellent condition.
Materials: Wood, Resin.
