A pair of Weyland-Yutani Scientist safety glasses used in the Sigourney Weaver sci-fi horror sequel Alien³. These simple protective goggles were used in the climatic closing scenes of the movie when the real Bishop Weyland has come to ‘save’ Ripley and her parasite and are accompanied by several scientists dressed in white with these glasses.
Made from a pair of plain clear plastic safety goggles, the lenses have been sprayed with a reflective paint to make them slightly mirrored and they have the unique addition of a magnifying glass in front of the right lens which can be angled accordingly. They’ve suffered some unfortunate scuffing to the metallic paint and the front is slightly scratched from storage but is instantly recognisable from the movie and is in otherwise good condition. They are presented on a custom built display stand that incorporates the movie title illuminated with ultra bright LEDs. Together they stand at 22cm (8.5”) tall and the base measures 18cm (7”) across.
