A Town Called Eureka

Building Maps and Propaganda

Stock #57580

”Here. Here's some ketchup. Start at your feet, work your way up.”

A set of three building maps and two “propaganda” posters used in the production of the sci-fi TV series A Town Called Eureka. When a science experiment cripples the sheriff of Eureka, Oregon, Deputy US Marshal Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson) reluctantly takes up a post, not realising that his world is about to be turned upside down.

The building maps all show a directory of the sections and the departments within Global Dynamics, the secret research facility hidden near the town of Eureka and would be seen in the background on the walls of the secret facility. The posters, and others like them, would have featured after the season four episode “A New World” when the team discovers Douglas Fargo (Neil Grayston) has become the maniacal director of Global Dynamics when they come back to an altered timeline.

Made from foam board, two of the maps show Sections 1-5 colour-coded and the rest in the image are greyed out. There are descriptions for Sections 11-14 but they are not shown on the image. The smaller map has a vinyl metallic silver finish. The third map is also a directory but focuses on Sections 1-5 only and has a different style of image. This map comes presented in a thick plastic mount with holes in each corner where it was fitted on set. The two posters feature the character Douglas Fargo’s image in a red posterized effect with the text “VISION, THINK GLOBAL, ACT DYNAMIC”. One of the posters has a graffiti’d effect, showing exactly what his employees think of him.

Displaying some wear including markings to the finish of the maps, this set remains in very good production-used condition.

Materials: Plastic, Card.
