A helmet worn in the 2006 graphic novel movie adaptation 300. Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, 300 is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae, in which 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valour and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against the Persian enemy.
With unique distressing and markings, the helmet is marked internally with “202. Tim Connolly” , indicating it was used by stuntman Tim Connolly during the film's extensive battle scenes. Connolly is listed as the stuntman for Leonidas as well as credited for playing Leonidas' father in the opening scenes of the film. This stunt helmet is made from a fiberglass shell that is covered with urethane. Minimal battle damage on the exterior of the helmets hints that this piece is from early sequences in the film before the bloody Battle of Thermopylae reached its peak.

Well used on the production, the helmet has a broken side piece that has been repaired (see picture). This piece remains in fragile condition while the rest of the helmet is in overall good condition.
