Kathryn Railly’s (Madeleine Stowe) costume from the climax of Terry Gilliam’s 1995 dystopian sci-fi film 12 Monkeys.
After the world has been devastated by disease, a convict is sent back in time to gather information about how the man-made virus was spread, but he finds himself locked up in an asylum for the insane.
This costume was worn by Railly in the climactic scene at the airport when Railly and Cole (Bruce Willis) race to stop the virus spreading. It consists of a pale yellow cardigan and a red dress with a floral print. Neither item of clothing has any labelling indicating size.
Both items of clothing show some wear from production use and age. The cardigan has a couple of small holes in the back near the neck line, as well as some red staining on the right sleeve, possibly from fake blood, while the dress has a small dark stain on the front. Despite this the costume is in a very good condition.
Materials: Man-Made Woven Fibres, Ferrous Metals.
