When love strikes Roger (Jeff Daniels) and Anita (Joely Richardson) and their Dalmatians Pongo and Perdy, they soon find themselves happily married and the owners of 15 Dalmation pups. But Anita’s boss, the vain Cruella de Vil (Glenn Close), has machinations on the dogs and they soon go missing. Can Pongo, Perdy and the Dearlys save the pups from becoming a fur coat?
These storyboards and others like them were issued to crew members to illustrate various scenes. This binder – issued to art director Alan Tomkins - covered various scenes involving animals in the film, including Roger and Anita’s first meeting and the country-wide canine search for the stolen Dalmatian puppies.
The set is comprised of approximately 300 copied storyboards, printed as single page images or as sets of up to three images per page. Each storyboard copy is printed on A4 paper and hole punched for securing in the binder, with card divisions indicating breaks in scenes. The blue binder has the word “Art” written on the front in black marker.
Displaying some wear to the edges and the ring binder holes from its time in use on the production, the storyboards remain in overall good production-used condition.
