A Klingon disruptor rifle from J.J. Abrams’ 2013 sci-fi action sequel Star Trek Into Darkness.

After Starfleet are attacked from within their own organisation, Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) leads the Enterprise on a mission to hunt down the man responsible, the mysterious John Harrison (Benedict Cumberbatch).

This rifle and others like it were made for the production and were held by Klingon warriors during their battle on Kronos with Kirk, Spock (Zachary Quinto), Uhura (Zoë Saldana), and Harrison. During the battle Spock picks up one of the rifles and uses it himself.

This rifle is made predominantly of rubber, suggesting that it was used as a stunt weapon. The side panel lights up green when the button underneath is pressed. The weapon features some spiked ‘blades’ next to the barrel and the jagged look of the gun was designed to reflect the ‘barbarism of the Klingons’, according to prop master Andrew Siegel.

The gun comes on its own custom-made stand, which features the film title and the name of the weapon. The piece has been intentionally distressed to look well used in battle, including intentional scuffing and scratches. There is also some further minor wear from production use, but it remains in an otherwise excellent condition.
