An Iraqi flight suit from the the production of Roland Emmerich's 1996 sci-fi adventure Independence Day. When an unstoppable race of technologically advanced aliens invade Earth, mankind must put their differences aside and unite in order to survive extinction. After scientist David Levinson (Jeff Goldblum) discovers a weakness in the creature's defenses, a montage showing the world's armies coordinating a counter-offensive. Iraqi pilots can be seen wearing flight suits as they gather to join the planning of the attack.
Made of a polyester â€“ cotton blend, this full body flight suit is beige in color and sized extra-large. The outfit features various pockets throughout, all zip-closed along with a Velcro patch for an attached name patch. The piece is closed with a frontal zipper which runs the length of the wearer's torso, however the zipper handle appears to be missing and no longer closes properly. A green, triangular flightpatch is sewn onto the left arm which shows a red symbol at its center. Inside the suit is a label indicating size, material, and washing instructions.
This piece shows slight age and wear but remains in otherwise good condition.
