Pre-Production Paint Test Fish
Stock # 20722
"I was a bride. My dreams were taken from me. But now - now I've stolen them from someone else. I love you, Victor, but you are not mine."
A pre-production paint test fish from Tim Burton’s 2005 stop-motion film Corpse Bride.
A shy groom practices his wedding vows in the presence of a ghostly woman, who then assumes they are married.
This beautifully decorated piece was made for the opening sequence to sit atop a fish van, however it did not make it into the final cut of the film and was left as a paint test to showcase the potential decoration for the final product. The cast resin piece is coloured a dark yellow and has been covered in an interesting flaking metallic paint in both silver and red. It sits upon a metal rod above a wavy wooden base to give the illusion of floating above the waves.
It has minor wear from age and production use and remains in an excellent condition.
Materials: Wood, Resin, Ferrous Metals.
