Ripley Report Floppy Disk
Stock # 63738
A floppy disk made for the production of James Cameron’s seminal sci-fi action movie Aliens. Cast adrift for almost sixty years after the events of Alien, Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) reluctantly joins a platoon of hardened Colonial Marines in the hopes of saving the residents of a colony infested with grotesque humanoid aliens.
This piece was made for the briefing scene early in the movie as Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) has to explain the disastrous and scarring events of the ill-fated Nostromo and her crew, with Gorman advising the marines that Ripley’s full report was “on disk”. The prop department made the disks after reading the script, however the props were ultimately never used. The disk is blue with olive green paint and features a label detailing the report’s contents. An interesting piece from the production of the blockbuster sci-fi film, the piece remains in very good condition.
