Artist: John Alvin
Original Final Artwork for the US One-Sheet poster for "Short Circuit" (1986) by American artist John Alvin. The acrylic airbrush painting shows robot "No.5" being brought "alive" after being struck by lightning. This is a typical example of John Alvin’s style of poster Artwork. The theme of "connectivity" also featured strongly in Alvin’s Artwork for the earlier sci-fi movie "E.T." (1982). The film title and cast and credits information would have been applied on an acetate overlay at a later stage. This large piece of original poster Artwork has been framed and glazed. An example of the US One-Sheet poster is included in this lot.
Artwork 34" x 48" (86.5 x 122 cm) overall, poster 27"x 40" (68.5 x 101.5 cm)
