A helmet worn Wolfgang Petersen’s adaptation of Homer’s great epic Troy. After falling for the beautiful Helen (Diane Kruger), Trojan prince Paris (Orlando Bloom) smuggles her aboard the ship of his brother, Hector (Eric Bana) to take her to Troy. Seeking revenge, the Greek armies led by Agamemnon (Brian Cox) and the legendary warrior Achilles (Brad Pitt) set sail for Troy, where one of history’s greatest wars will be waged.
This helmet was worn by the fabled Greek warrior Achilles as he does battle on the sands of Troy, and was made specifically for Brad Pitt in the role of Achilles, the helmet designed to fit perfectly on the Myrmidon leader’s head. This particular version of the helmet is made of worked metal, and is marked internally as being intended for use in rehearsals.

The metal helmet has a crest across the crown for the addition of a plume, with a paint finish intended to replicate the appearance of blackened bronze. Screws run through the top of the helmet’s interior to secure a plume in place. Highlights have been applied to create the effect of sword slashes on the sides, with minor highlights along recesses of the helmet’s elaborate decoration and along the rims of the helmet’s distinctive long face plates. The cheeks are lined with leather for the wearer’s comfort, though the scalp has no lining present.

Well used on the production the helmet remains in an overall very good production-used condition.
